All cyclists must complete this entry form to the satisfaction of the organizers. |
NO PARTICIPANT MAY COMPETE WITHOUT WEARING A HARD SHELL CYCYLING HELMET. Only commercially produced helmets, preferably meeting ANSI or Shell standards, may be worn. No strip helmets may be worn. |
Cyclists must ride in a predictable and responsible manner and obey the officers and marshals. Cyclists may be required to stop if necessary. |
CYCLISTS ARE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES. ANY INFRINGEMENTS WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION. |
No persons over the age of 8 years at 01 February 2010 shall be allowed to enter. |
Numbers must be worn on the front of participant’s jersey/parents clothing. |
No participant may allow anyone else to use his/her number. |
Cyclists/parents are to ensure that their cycles are in good working order. |
The route will be shown on the map and it is the sole responsibility of the entrant to know the route and the organizers take no responsibility for persons deviating from the route or any consequences for such action. |
Entry fees are non-refundable should the race be cancelled or stopped for reasons beyond the organizers control, eg rain. |
The rules stated above are binding and the organizers, referees and traffic authorities’ ruling will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. ONLY ONE PARENT/GUARDIAN IS ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY THE CYCLIST AROUND THE COURSE. |
General :
By entering the event the entrant confirms that he or she is medically fit to complete the event, and that the cycle used is in a roadworthy condition. The ride will start at approximately 09:00 (ensure that you arrive early).
Road Safety :
NO HELMET NO RIDE
All participants are deemed to have acquainted themselves with the rules and regulations and are bound by them.
Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.
First Aid :
Medical assistance will be provided at the start, and at the finish. Any cyclist requiring hospital care will be taken to the closest Hospital or medical treatment centre of their choice.
Bad Weather :
The event will take place regardless of weather conditions and will only be cancelled for safety reasons.
No refunds will be made.
Race Organizer's Discretion :
The race organizers have complete discretion in deciding whether to accept the entry of the participant. The organizers receive the right to refuse the entry of any rider should they so decide. All race results will be in the hands of the race organizers whose decision will be final, there being no right of appeal.
Indemnity
| Entrants and participants ("Participants") in the Carnival City Magic Company Kiddies Cycle Race ("the Event") acknowledge that although all precautions have been taken by the organizing body to ensure the safety of all participants, there may be dangers inherent in participation in the Event and activities related thereto. |
Participants voluntarily assume the risks of attendance at and participation in the Event and hereby waive all claims of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in relation to the Event or otherwise against any parties, including but not limited to the organizing body, the sponsors.

| The advertisers, any local authority and/or the directors, employees, suppliers and assistants of these parties, including any individual, official, marshal or agent ("the Parties"). |
Participants hereby irrevocably indemnify and hold harmless the Parties against any liability and claims of any nature whatsoever and howsoever arising (whether directly or indirectly caused and whether arising from negligence, albeit gross, or from the participation or involvement in or passage to or from the Event or otherwise) including but not limited to liability for delay, inconvenience, accident, death, injury, illness to their person, or loss or damage to property or costs and expenses sustained, incurred or put to by Participants and/or by any minor children under the care or control of Participants.

| Parents or guardians authorizing a minor's participation in the Event, which shall prima facie be evidenced by their signature on this entry form, hereby consent to such minor being bound to the aforegoing and further indemnify the Parties to the extent, if any, to which such minor is not capable of waiving his/her rights as stipulated above. |
