Rules and Regulations

Race is run in accordance with the rules of ASA & CGA.

Allow sufficient time on race day to park, enter and get to the start of race at the entrance of Carnival City.

Free parking will be provided within the Carnival City grounds for the runner's vehicles.

While due care will be taken, no liability of any sort will be accepted for loss of vehicles or property.

Tog bag facilities will be provided and while care will be taken, we cannot accept liability for any loss.

Registered athletes must wear club colours, official race number on front of vest & 2009 license number on back.

Unlicensed athletes will be required to purchase a temporary license:
10 km - R 15-00 &
21 km - R20-00

Regret no cyclists, wheelchairs, pets, prams or other mechanical devices allowed.

All runners participate at their own risk & indemnify the race organisers against any claims whatsoever.

Athletes on the 10km must be 15 years or older and on the 21km be 16 years or older on race day.

No seconding allowed.

International athletes winning prize money to provide race referees with a clearance letter from their country.

Numerical age category tags to be worn by all runners competing for prizes.

Proof of age to be provided by means of an ID book or passport for all age category prizes.

Proof of age to be provided before prizegiving and non-production on race day will lead to disqualification.

Prize winners to be present at Prize Giving to qualify for prizes.

Walkers to wear "W" tags on back and front of vest. Rules for walkers to be applied by referees.

Time Limits : 10 km - 2 hours, 21 km - 3 hours.

Athletes only eligible for prizes in one age category.

All traffic officials & marshals to be obeyed, failure to obey will lead to disqualification.

No Carnival City Runners to run on race day.

Waterpoints at approximately 3km intervals will be provided.

The decision of the race referees is final.
