Stander made his intentions clear that he is going to race to win and it is not just idle talk.
The youngster only knows one way of racing and that is flat out from the beginning. So the challenge to the rest of the riders will be keep up or lose out.
There aren’t many riders that can match his climbing prowess and Stander is also fearless racing downhill making him a formidable opponent and an exciting addition to the MTN South African Marathon Championships.
Stander only arrived back on Wednesday in South Africa having competed over the weekend at a World Cup Cross Country-event in Bromont, Quebec where he finished an incredible 7th overall.
